Let's be Santa
Let's be Santa is a simple app for anonymous gift exchanges. It works without user accounts, participant emails, phone numbers, or contact lists. We collect only the information needed to create and run a draw.

When an organizer creates an event, the app may store the event name, date, gift limit, currency, event type, participant names, selected avatars, optional exclusion rules, and the generated gift assignments.
Participants use the shared event link, choose their name, and can reveal their match once. To make that rule work, we store whether a participant has already revealed their match and when it happened.
Please do not enter addresses, phone numbers, emails, shipping details, sensitive personal data, private notes, or anything else that is not needed for the draw. First names, nicknames, or simple labels are usually enough.
The public event link does not show the full draw map. The app is designed so each participant can reveal only their own match, and only once. Repeated reveal attempts are treated as an error and should not show the match again.
The app may use basic, anonymized analytics to understand how the product is used and how it can be improved. Private event and participant identifiers are not intentionally sent as analytics page addresses.
The language selector uses a small cookie to remember the selected language. Like most web apps, technical systems may process basic request data, such as IP address, browser information, time of request, and security logs, to deliver and protect the service.
The app is hosted on secure infrastructure, connections are encrypted, and database access is protected. We make reasonable efforts to protect event data, limit access, and avoid exposing gift assignments in public pages or search results.
We do not sell participant data. Data may be processed by trusted service providers that are necessary to host, store, secure, measure, and maintain the app.
Event data is kept so the shared link and one-time reveal flow can work. If you want an event removed, email support@letsbesanta.com with the event link. We may also remove old, inactive, test, or abusive events while maintaining the service.
Because the app does not require accounts or contact details, we may need the event link or enough context to find data related to a request. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data.
The app can be used for supervised family, classroom, or children’s events, but an adult should create or supervise the event when children participate. Use names, nicknames, or avatars instead of unnecessary identifying details.
If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated with a new date.
